About Magic Tree House Author Mary Pope Osborne

American author Mary Pope Osborne has written over 100 books for children and young adults, including the Magic Tree House series, the Magic Tree House Fact Tracker series, the Tales from the Odyssey series, and the My America series. Her books have been translated into many languages and have won numerous awards, including the Children’s Choice Award and the Parents’ Choice Award.

In addition to her writing, Osborne is a literacy advocate and has worked with many organizations to promote literacy and reading for children. She also co-founded the literacy non-profit organization, the Classroom Magic Tree House Program, which provides classroom resources and author visits to schools.

She currently lives in Connecticut with her husband, Will Osborne, who is also a children’s book author.
